Following recent DVSA changes, practical driving tests must now be booked directly by the pupil using their own DVSA account.
We still work closely with pupils to help identify the best available test options by monitoring published DVSA waiting times, pupil and instructor feedback, and reputable third-party cancellation apps.
We may also suggest nearby test centres where availability appears better.
The recent DVSA changes are intended to improve fairness and reduce automated “bot” bookings, and many pupils are now finding it easier to secure tests closer to course completion.
While all test availability remains controlled solely by the DVSA and cannot be guaranteed, we will always do our best to help guide you towards the most suitable option available.

• 7-Day Course – Best suited for complete beginners or those with very little driving experience. It gives you extra time to build confidence and cover the basics properly. • 5-Day Course – Ideal if you’ve already had some driving lessons and feel comfortable with the basics. This option is focused and intensive, helping you polish your skills and get test-ready quickly.

There is no requirement to have a practical driving test booked before starting your course. Following recent improvements to the DVSA booking system, many pupils are now finding test appointments closer to course completion. When the time is right, we are happy to provide guidance on choosing a suitable test date and location.
